What is one bad habit you find yourself repeating in your writing in spite of knowing you do it? I find that I tend to warp anything and everything I do into something darker by the end. The easiest example I can think of is The Canes series, which, honestly and truly, started as a simple, playful Sherlock Holmes style story about a detective fox who solves mysteries. By the end, it became so dark and personal, and sometimes cynical and mean. I don't necessarily dislike that I do it. I believe I do it well, but I find it is sometimes a crutch I lean on that I hope to continue challenging myself on.
