Is there a particular age when you realized you are reading for pleasure? What about a certain book that got you hooked? What was it called?
I have always been interested with reading since I learned how to read. Getting lost in books, learning new & different things.

I think it was when I was old enough to read.

I'll let you know when it happens.

Kidding.

Kind-of.

I don't read that often these days, but I did have times in my childhood where certain things took hold and captured my imagination.

I remember some of the first books I read were the Goosebumps books - which acted as a gateway to more serious horror later on.

I began reading as a kid. It was those moments that I decided that I should be doing everything that is within my power to go to newspaper stands in order to learn new words.

When I was a kid, I remember it was always important for me to sound articulate with everything I said. In a lot of ways, that is something that carried over in my life. I have had to retroactively tweak my vocabulary to find the middle-man between fancy-dancy robot man to Southern hick.
